Søren Sveistrup. Søren Sveistrup (born 7 January 1968 in Kastrup) is a Danish screenwriter and author. His credits include The Killing and Nikolaj og Julie. His first novel, The Chestnut Man, was published in 2019 and adapted into a television series, The Chestnut Man, in 2021.

Søren Sveistrup is an internationally acclaimed scriptwriter of the Danish television phenomenon The Killing which won various international awards and sold in more than a hundred countries. More recently, Sveistrup wrote the screenplay for Jo Nesbø's The Snowman.
