2. His solo career
Robbie decided to go solo in 1978 after he moved to Los Angeles. His old friends, Rick Chudacoff and Peter Bunetta helped him produced his first solo song. His first album was self-titled and it had two top 10 singles. He then signed a contract with Elektra Records. His second LP Street Corner Heroes was released in 1981 and the hit song Brooklyn girls topped out at No. 54 on the top singles survey. 3. He used to be in a band
Robbie Dupree began performing occasionally with an Atlanta-based band called the Yacht Rock Revue but before that time, he used to be a member of the new world rising before they parted ways in 1971. He toured with the band in 2015 alongside the little river band, Stephen bishop, ambrosia, and also player. In 2018, he appeared on the rock the Yacht 2018 tour with the same people again.
