Patrick Dewaere was born Patrick Jean-Marie Bourdeaux on 26th January 1947 in Saint-Brieuc in Britanny, in northwest France. The son of the actress Mado Maurin, he was the third of six children in a family of actors who regularly appeared on stage, on film, on television and on radio.
