Mark Robert Speight, known professionally as Mark Stanley, is an English actor. He is best known for his roles in Game of Thrones, [1] Dickensian, [2] and as Rob Hepworth in the third series of BBC drama Happy Valley.
Sanditon is a British historical drama television series adapted by Andrew Davies from an unfinished manuscript by Jane Austen and starring Rose Williams, Crystal Clarke, Theo James, and Ben Lloyd-Hughes.

Summer time
Arriving in with his friends Sidney Parker and Mr. Crowe. They came for a ball. Lord Babington was interested in staying around Sanditon because he forms a liking for miss Esther Denham. Not seeing her as something to take to claim as his friend Mr. Crowe talks. Babington also can't seem to think what to make of Sir Edward. He does not fit into Tom Parker hopes for this sea side destination. Having no interest in taking a place for the summer. Only spending his time drinking and carouse. Being of those fashionable people from London. Lady Denham took an interest in him with her niece. Babington did stay for the annual cricket match, of the work men against the gentlemen but he mostly used the game to spend more time with miss Denham, even letting a ball get past him. After the game, he asked her to take a short ride together. They dismount the horses to look at a beautiful waterfall, he started talking about having a change of heart. Having never met a woman who congers up such feeling. Wanting to go forward he asks her to become his wife. She reacts by laughing. Visiting her at home, he was not invited inside and he listened to her refusal. Working to promote the Sanditon regatta. Sidney trusted that Babington would know where in London, on that night. He did get invitations to Mrs. Morsly who was hosting a mask ball in Grosvenor square London. The Parker brother could attend and Miss Heywood too. Miss Lambe chose to stay home. Mr. Crowe attended too, he was no help. Babington did try to get a woman's perspective, asking miss Heywood about if one's effects can change so quickly. Babington and Crowe teamed up together with a 3rd to form a 3-man rowing team in the first ever Sanditon’s regatta but collided into another boat in the race. At the regatta events, he had an encounter with Sir Edward that made him feel bad for Esther. Not able to forget about Esther, could spend 1000 years in her company, and not understand. After hearing the derogatory words spoken by her brother, he now understands. Telling Esther she had been his prisoner for too long. He had abused that power. She could be free now, in the spirit from friendship Babington promises, Edward would not make a victim out of her. Esther still is refusing him. She explains she does not want to be his property. Babington told Esther, he does not wish to own her. He wishes to make her happy. At last she accepted his proposal and they were wed.
