Nominated for four Emmy Awards, [1] she had roles in the television series The Virginian (1962–1971) and Dirty Sally (1974), and in films such as Macbeth (1948). Jeanette Nolan married actor John McIntire in 1935. They were featured in several projects together, including an animation series, in which they appeared as voice actors. The couple stayed together until his death in 1991.
In the ensuing years, he and his longtime wife, actress Jeanette Nolan, became the Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee of the sagebrush set, appearing together as the quintessential frontier couple for decades and decades. They were married for 56 years until John's death of emphysema in 1991.
