Husein "Huse" Madhavji (pronounced Ma-dav-gee; born July 19) is a Canadian actor and television personality. He is best known for his role as Dr. Shahir Hamza on the medical drama Saving Hope and as the former face of Star! Canada’s Entertainment Channel.

Husein "Huse" Madhavji (born 19 July 1977; age 46) is an actor who played Elder Gamal in the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds first season episode "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach".
Madhavji grew up in London, Ontario in an Indian Gujarati family who were Ismailis. He graduated from the radio and television arts program at Toronto's Ryerson University and began his career as a television anchor, journalist and reporter. He worked at the A-Channel in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and moved to Southern California for two years to work as a live feature reporter for Good Evening Sacramento and Good Day Sacramento on KMAX-TV. After moving back to his native Canada, Madhavji worked as an entertainment journalist at the national CTV channel.
In the early 2010, Madhavji shifted his career towards acting. From 2010 to 2013, he co-starred in the HBO Canada sitcom Call Me Fitz where guest stars included Joanna Cassidy and Emmanuel Kabongo. In 2011, he played a recurring role in the first season of Combat Hospital alongside Dwain Murphy, Ali Momen, and Dwain Murphy.
He is probably best known for his co-starring role as Dr. Shahir Hamza in Saving Hope between 2012 and 2017. Milton Barnes also co-starred in this series while Conrad Coates and Raven Dauda appeared in recurring roles. Guest stars included Bahia Watson, Dwain Murphy, Melanie Nicholls-King, Daniel Kash, Alan van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Billy MacLellan, Tzi Ma, Robert Joy, Gia Sandhu, Melanie Scrofano, Morgan Kelly, Ronnie Rowe Jr., Ross Carter, Saad Siddiqui, Thamela Mpumlwana, and Chris Violette.
Madhavji appeared in guest roles in series such as Cracked (2013, with Alisen Down), Lethal Weapon (2017, with Michelle Hurd), The Detail (2018, with Dan Abramovici and Claire Qute), Ransom (2019, with Nazneen Contractor), The Bold Type (2021, with Elana Dunkelman), Private Eyes (2021), and Hudson & Rex (2022).
In 2020, he played a recurring role in Utopia Falls alongside Milton Barnes and Raven Dauda.
