Homayoun Ershadi (born in 1326 in Isfahan) is an Iranian actor. He studied until high school in Abadan. After graduating, he went to Italy and studied architecture at an Italian university and returned to Iran eleven years later. In 1375, he was introduced to Abbas Kiarostami by Tahmine Milani and succeeded in acting in the movie Taste of Cherry.
Homayoun Ershadi plays Mr. Badii, a man who seeks someone to bury him after he kills himself in Tehran. The film, directed by Abbas Kiarostami, won the Palme d'Or in 1997 and explores themes of mortality and choice.
