Michael V. Gazzo. Actor: The Godfather Part II. Michael Vincente Gazzo was born in Hillside, New Jersey, on April 5, 1923. He attended Erwin Piscator's Dramatic Workshop at the New School on the GI Bill after being demobilized from the US Army Air Force after World War II. Gazzo's first major success was as a playwright.

Michael Vincenzo Gazzo (April 5, 1923 – February 14, 1995) was an American playwright who later in life became a movie and television actor. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Godfather Part II (1974).
He appeared in two Best Picture Academy Award winners: On the Waterfront (1954) and The Godfather Part II (1974). Was considered for the role of Joe Cabot in Reservoir Dogs (1992). Trained for the stage at the Actors Studio in New York. Founded the Gazzo Theater Workshop in Los Angeles.
