Ott Tänak ( Estonian pronunciation: [ˈotʲˑ ˈtæ.nɑk]; born 15 October 1987) is an Estonian rally driver and the 2019 World Rally Champion. He is currently teamed with Martin Järveoja and is competing for Hyundai Motorsport in the World Rally Championship .
Footage of his astonishing escape went viral and made ‘the raising of the Ti-Tänak’ one of the most talked about WRC stories for many years. He was dropped for a second time at the end of the season but stayed with Fiesta RS power to drive in 2016 with the newly-formed DMACK World Rally Team.

Oct 13, 2023 · Ott Tänak’s victory on Rally Chile was significant for a number of reasons. It meant the 2019 world champion maintained his unbeaten record on the event; it was the first time that M-Sport has taken two wins in a season since 2018; and it elevated Tänak into the top 10 drivers with the most World Rally Championship event wins.
