A former USC All-America, Swann was the Steelers’ No. 1 draft pick and 21st player selected overall in the 1974 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Swann led the NFL in punt returns with 577 yards on 41 returns, which at that time was a club record and fourth best in NFL history.
Lynn Swann was a graceful and leaping wide receiver who won four Super Bowls and MVP honors with the Steelers. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001 and the Steelers Hall of Honor in 2017.
