Willie Horton (born William Wattison Horton; October 18, 1942), nicknamed "Willie the Wonder", is an American former baseball left fielder and designated hitter who played in Major League Baseball from 1963 to 1980, primarily for the Detroit Tigers.

A tremendously powerful right-handed slugger, Horton was one of the strongest men in the game and launched 325 homers in his career.
Willie Horton was born in Arno, Virginia, in 1942, moving to Detroit when he was five years old. When he was 16 years old, a sophomore catcher for Northwestern High School lineup, he slammed the first of many home runs to come at Briggs Stadium.
