Brittney Yvette Griner ( / ˈɡraɪnər /; born October 18, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Mercury of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). [1] She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist with the U.S. women's national basketball team [2] and a six-time WNBA All-Star. [3]
