Eastman School of Music to Host “Sisters in Jazz” Weekend in September. Eastman is excited to host a “Sisters in Jazz” weekend Sept. 20-21, 2024! This two-day event of concerts and workshops is designed by and for female jazz musicians.

For a century, the Eastman School of Music has been one of the professional schools of the University of Rochester. The Hugh Hodgson School of Music offers over 350 performances a year in state of the art venues with award winning faculty and students. Many of our events are free, and your UGA student ID gets you a discount on most of the rest.

The Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester has completed the renovation of its Howard Hanson Recital Hall, an intimate concert venue built in 1976. The hall was gutted and renovated to bring it into the 21st century, with construction taking place over the 2023-24 academic year and into summer.
