Etihad Rail (Arabic: الاتحاد للقطارات) is the United Arab Emirates national railway network. It was established in June 2009 under Federal Law No. 2 to manage the development, construction and operation of the United Arab Emirates' national freight and passenger railway network.
In 2023, Etihad Rail inaugurated the network expansion, spanning around 900km linking all seven emirates, from Ghuweifat on the border with Saudi Arabia to Fujairah on the eastern cost of the UAE, and launched Freight Train operations across the UAE.

Jan 26, 2024 · Etihad Rail, which will connect the Emirates and later link the UAE with Oman, marked its first passenger journey this week. Trains will run between 11 cities and regions, stretching from Al Sila to Fujairah and taking in Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid and Abu Dhabi.

The agreement to build the Omani portion of the rail network was signed on September 29 during the President Sheikh Mohamed's state visit to Oman.
