George Seaton (April 17, 1911 – July 28, 1979) was an American screenwriter, playwright, film director and producer, and theater director.
George Seaton was a versatile and prolific Hollywood filmmaker who wrote and directed classics such as Miracle on 34th Street, The Country Girl and Airport. He also served as a leader of the Screenwriter's Guild and the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences.
