William Beaudine began his tenure in film as an assistant to the legendary D. W. Griffith. At the height of his career, Beaudine worked for every major studio and directed many greats of the silent era including Mabel Normand, George Sidney, Laura LaPlante and Tom Mix.
From 1934 to 1937 Beaudine piloted over ten features in Great Britain and, after returning to the US, continued his prolific output, working for various low-budget producers and directing a number of the "Bowery Boys" movies.
