   • Kid friendly play areas, boat launch sites and close to town ( 2-3 miles) and next to UC Merced, The back side has no entrance fee where you can fish, swim, play with your dogs, BBQ and launch small boats/kayaks.    Is Merced Lake a gang Haven?

   • The lake used to be fun but over the past 10 years or so it has become a haven for gangs. One of my neighbors was killed after an altercation at the lake. Now mostly a place where thugs and their families hang out. Sad because going to the lake was one of the highlights of growing up in Merced.
