The Society is located in the former Marion County Courthouse, which was built in 1896 and is now home to the Society’s museum. The museum features exhibits and displays on the county’s history, including its role in the Civil War, its agricultural heritage, its Native American culture, and its place in the development of the Mississippi Delta.
The Museum proved to be a significant and helpful institution inensuring that the future generations will have access to the history of their area. The Museum also houses an extensive Civil War Library that features numerous first*edition books.
