Located in the Pope John Paul II Pavilion on the west side of the Basilica, the visitor center is open Monday through Friday 10:00am to 3:00pm. Saturday and Sunday hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm. Walking tour brochures are available for your convenience.
In 1929, St. Josaphat Church was named the third basilica in the United States. Today there are over sixty in the United States. It is as close as we get to a European Cathedral. It is the largest church in Milwaukee, with a seating capacity of over 1,000 on the main floor, hundreds more can be accommodated in the galleries.
