   When did the Laramie Plains Museum buy the Ivinson Mansion?

   • In 1972, the Laramie Plains Museum Association purchased the Ivinson Mansion. The home was placed on the National Register of Historic Places that year, and was cleaned and basically repaired so that it could hold the museum. Later in 1972, the museum moved to the mansion, and there it remains.

The Museum offers guided tours of the Ivinson Mansion; this is the beautifully restored home and grounds built for Edward and Jane Ivinson. Truly a treasure!
