For more than 70 years, Valley Art Gallery has been one of the premier art galleries in the East Bay. It was a pioneer in the philosophy that art improves people’s quality of life. In September 1949, it held its first show, Outdoor Art Shows, in conjunction with the Walnut Festival in Walnut Creek City Park.
