Historic Indian Mounds Park is located on Koshkonong Mounds Road south of Fort Atkinson. This five acre park offers visitors the opportunity to view eleven Indian effigy mounds. Visitors can hike the trail through the woods to view all of the mounds.

This is a good display of different types of Native American Mounds for those interested in local history. This group used to comprise up to 72 mounds, but only dozen or so left today. The trail winds around mounds, and the entire place is shaded by large trees. Alternately, this group is called Koshkonong Mounds or General Atkinson Mound group.
