Indian Rock Park is a 1.18-acre (4,800 m 2) public park in the city of Berkeley, California, on the slope of the Berkeley Hills. Located in the northeast part of the city, it is about two blocks north of the Arlington/Marin Circle, and straddles Indian Rock Avenue.
Indian Rock Park is one of three Rock parks here in the Berkeley Hills within an easy walking distance. While parked at Indian Rock Park, walk-up Indian Rock Road to see Mortar Rock Park and Grotto Rock Park.

The epic lookout draws dozens of visitors each day.

Jun 26, 2020 · The name of the place is Indian Rock Park. Scarcely an acre, it comprises a cluster of rhyolite outcroppings, deposited here by volcanic eruptions some 10 million years ago, when one-humped camels and three-toed horses and four-tusked elephants (Gomphotheres) wandered the continent.
