Dewayne Staats (born August 8, 1952) is an American sports broadcaster who has been the television play-by-play commentator for the Tampa Bay Rays since their inception in 1998. Dewayne Staats is the lead play-by-play announcer for the Tampa Bay Rays on Bally Sports Sun. He has broadcast more than 7,000 MLB games in his career, including 10 no-hitters, and was a finalist for the Ford C. Frick Award.
