Oct 5, 2014 · Giewont is extremely popular and in a way iconic. The mighty silhouette of Giewont stands out in the landscape of the Tatra Mountains that can be seen from Zakopane. As Giewont is pretty close to Zakopane the hike takes about 6-7 hours and it is not much. Many hikes in the High Tatras take 10 hours or more and are far more strenuous.
