The turkey shoot begins, and Al, eager to uncover the family fortune, pays teenager Matt McCoy, who has a crush on Wilbert, to hide behind a tree and shoot for him. Wilbert wins the shoot, but when Winfield clan leader Devil Dan accuses him of cheating, a shootout erupts between the two families.
Al Stewart and Wilbert are magicians doing a stage act when they run into Wilbert's cousin, Dorothy McCoy. They find out that Wilbert's grandfather, Squeeze-box McCoy, had treasure hidden in the hills of Kentucky, which they go to find.
