LSS CHOICES provides services for victims of domestic violence in Franklin County regardless of sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, native language, race, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, or age.
CHOICES is a subsidiary of Lutheran Social Services that provides shelter, hotline, counseling, legal and community advocacy, and education for victims of domestic violence. It aims to interrupt the cycle of violence by responding to those in need and advocating for social change.
The new LSS CHOICES shelter opened in January 2019 and increased capacity to 120 beds, with room to add 48 more in the future. See more information here.
Jan 20, 2022 · Victims and their children who are living with an abuser need a safe place to go to break the cycle of violence and begin the healing process. CHOICES has been the sole resource for victims to seek shelter from domestic violence in Franklin County for four decades.
CHOICES is the primary shelter in Franklin County for victims of domestic violence. In addition to offering a temporary emergency shelter, they also have a 24-hour crisis hotline, domestic violence counseling, legal advocates and peer support groups for people who are escaping intimate partner violence.
CHOICES provides survivors of domestic violence (and their children) with a 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling services, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, community resources and support groups.
