Once a year, safe-breaker Willie T. Soke--a misanthropic and chronically depressed wreck of a man--wakes up from his annual slumber to team up with Marcus, his ill-tempered partner in crime. Indeed, the two miscreants have devised a simple but ingenious plan: Willie poses as a department store Santa, and Marcus is his trusted elf-helper.
