Koati is a pretty underrated and good movie that comes to refresh the cinema after so many boring 3D movies with super plastic animation. Although at first it seems like a kind of inspiration from the Lion King, do not be fooled, the plot is very different.

Recent reviews. Has all the ingredients for an underrated environmental animated film a la FernGully meets Rio, Lion King, and Dinosaur (2000) combined, the story is generic and most of the cast are a bunch of bland tropes or annoying (looking at you, Pako...).

Jun 13, 2023 · I really liked Koati, but it has a bit too many flaws for me to call it anything more than decent. The animation is excellent, bringing to life the Amazon Rainforest in a compelling way. However characters are generally not very interesting, though the villain snake and her second-in-command are pretty fun.
