Queen Millennia (Japanese: 新竹取物語 1000年女王, Hepburn: Shin Taketori Monogatari: Sennen Joō, lit. "The New Tale of the Bamboo Cutter : Millennium Queen") is a manga series by Leiji Matsumoto [2] which was serialized from 28 January 1980 through 11 May 1983 in both the Sankei Shimbun and Nishinippon Sports newspapers.

Actually Yukino Yayoi was Queen Millennia who had come from Lar Metal 1000 years before, and she had been watching human beings since then. Soon, numerous meteors fell on the Earth, and people were in panic. In this catastrophe, Hajime, who was a student of Yayoi, came to help Yayoi. Yayoi invited him into a big cave under the ground.

CHARACTER SECTION: 6/10 Well, seen one, seen them all. The cast in all Leiji’s works looks almost identical to the point of thinking he is just making clones of them. The lead teenage boy is the average silly yet kind-hearted ideal Japanese, the lead girl is the epitome of grace and caring, the old man is an ugly-drawn drunkard midget.
