A Special Branch bodyguard working for Quantum member Guy Haines, an advisor to the British PM is killed by one of Greene's men after Bond throws him off a roof (when the bodyguard started shooting at Bond, he acted in self defense).
Roger Ebert pans the 22nd James Bond film as a disappointing and dull action thriller with a weak plot and a bland villain. He praises Daniel Craig as a fine actor but criticizes the film for failing to capture the essence of the Bond character and the franchise.
