May 6, 2005 · Kingdom of Heaven: Directed by Ridley Scott. With Martin Hancock, Michael Sheen, Nathalie Cox, Eriq Ebouaney. Balian of Ibelin travels to Jerusalem during the Crusades of the 12th century, and there he finds himself as the defender of the city and its people.
Unlike the mixed critical reception of the film's theatrical version, the Director's Cut received overwhelmingly positive reviews from film critics, including a four-star review in the British magazine Total Film and a ten out of ten from IGN DVD.
