Plácido [ˈplaθiðo] is a 1960 Spanish black comedy film directed by Luis García Berlanga. It was nominated to the Academy Award as Best Foreign Language Film. It was also entered into the 1962 Cannes Film Festival. In the film, affluent women in a provincial town organize a Christmas campaign of feeding the poor.
