Jan 8, 2010 · Overview. A former sailor who has served prison sentences for alcohol smuggling fights to keep his family afloat. He is offered pay for a last tour of cargo between Reykjavik and Rotterdam. He agrees, in the hope to get out of debt, but unexpected events occur.
Feature Reykjavik-Rotterdam was the Icelandic submission for the Oscars, it won five Edda’s. Reykjavik-Rotterdam is a co-production between Rotterdam Films (Dick Rijneke and Mildred van Leeuwaarden) and the Icelandic company Blueeyes Productions (Baltasar Kormákur and Agnes Johansen).
