Whether you asked for it or not, Syfy's Sharknado is back. To create some more snark-nado online, as live-tweeting and live-blogging essentially made the first installment a can't-miss experience.

Please be advised though, I'm going to give this sequel a "bad" score. The word next to whatever number I pick will not be favorable. But Sharknado 2, like its predecessor, is meant to be bad. Its sole purpose is to be mocked. So if it is indeed terrible then... that's good, right? It will have succeeded. It will have fulfilled its unspoken mission statement of giving us top-notch bats*** absurdity.

Sharknado 2 is performed by both stars whose celebrity factor faded long ago and those who, well, you'll actually be surprised joined in on the fun. For every "Downtown" Julie Brown appearing as a nurse, there's a Robert Klein as the mayor. For every Kari Wuhrer (yes, old school MTV is a big contributor) as Ian Ziering's sister, there's a Matt Lauer and Al Roker as themselves. Wil Wheaton (with wife, Anne), Kurt Angle, Biz Markie, Andy Dick. Everyone gets in on the shark stabbing.

Sure, Sharknado 2 is a crapfest, but it's a loving one. And a fun one. It's tailor-made to be watched in groups and shared online. And it's not in the least bit clever, which makes it all the better for actually funny and clever people to rip it to shreds. As an outrageous entity, it holds absolutely nothing back. Plus, it makes better use of New Y...

  3. Sharknado 2 was fast paced and action-packed!! What made it great was the humor and style of the movie. As a New Yorker perhaps my opinion is biased, but I really enjoyed Sharknado 2: The Second One. Sharknado 3 was announced for a 2015 release. But the 2 main stars want a pay raise. Sharknado 3 wouldn't be the same w/o Tara Reid & Ian Ziering.

  4. Jul 31, 2014 · And less so. Sharknado 2: The Next One embraces its inner camp, but is self-conscious about it, because, you know, real men don’t embrace and sissies can’t work a chainsaw. It’s a surfer’s ...

  7. Jul 30, 2014 · Having become something of a succès d'ordures, "Sharknado," the 2013 TV movie about a tornado full of sharks (to simplify somewhat), has inevitably birthed a sequel.
