The earlier 'Breakaway' (1955) was probably a hit as this is a sequel (or were they made back-to-back?) and it was released around about the same time.

J. D. Everleigh, a wealthy American, purchases a rare stamp in London from Geoffrey Blake, who says he represents Robert Coburn, a stamp agent. Everleigh begins to suspect the stamp is a counterfeit and hires private-detective Tom Martin to investigate.
Nov 28, 2021 · Murder on Approval (1955) A thriller based around stamp-collecting doesn't sound too promising, though I do remember the Leslie Charteris short-story about a rare stamp, later adapted for a TV episode of The Saint - who had been played earlier on radio by Tom Conway, seen here in one of his few starring roles.
Someone is willing to commit murder to get his or her hands on the stamp, which puts a crimp in Duke's efforts to romance every beautiful woman he meets. Special investigator Duke Martin is in London to investigate the authenticity of a rare postage stamp called the Barbados Overplate.
