Topper (1937) is an American supernatural comedy film starring Constance Bennett and Cary Grant and featuring Roland Young, which tells the story of a stuffy, stuck-in-his-ways man, Cosmo Topper (Roland Young) who is haunted by the ghosts of a fun-loving married couple.
Off-screen husband-and-wife Robert Sterling and Anne Jeffreys played the ghosts, with Leo G. Carroll as Topper. In 1979, ABC presented a television movie remake starring another married couple, Kate Jackson and Andrew Stevens. In 1985, Topper became the first film to be fully colorized.
