Sergeant King (Myron McCormick) thinks backwoods hillbilly-turned-new recruit Will Stockdale (Andy Griffith) might the dumbest private ever to join the Air Force. When King puts him permanently in charge of the latrines, Stockdale thinks it's a promotion.
