Wouldn’t say it’s a masterpiece but well worth your time. Though the bank heist plot is very thin, Maurice Tourneur’s 1915 feature film Alias Jimmy Valentine is a very rewarding watch. Tourneur is employing pure montage at a highly advanced level.
