Relative Strangers: Directed by Greg Glienna. With Danny DeVito, Kathy Bates, Ron Livingston, Neve Campbell. A hip, well-dressed yuppie tracks down his biological parents, only to find that they live in a trailer park.

Plot. Thirty-four-year-old psychologist Richard Clayton's parents reveal to him that he was adopted. He then sets out to find out who his biological parents are, but disaster ensues when it turns out that his parents, Frank and Agnes Menure, are crude, lower class carnies. They follow him home and cause chaos to his normal life.
The anger management doctor loses it after meeting his biological parents, OK, maybe the obvious irony is overdone in this genre. However, the details and production of this film are what set it apart. Also, as dry as Livingston many be, that is his charm. Each of the players had excellent performances.
Ron Livingston, who is seen as Richard, the man who is told he has been living a lie, is quite good and shows a flair for comedy. Neve Campbell is also effective in playing the object of Richard's love. The combination of the vulgar Meneres as played broadly by Danny Devito and Kathy Bates have some good moments.
