- While it may not be wholly original, ‘Final Justice’ is still a competent flick that has some top performances and a couple of above average action scenes. If nothing else, it’s well worth watching just to see a young Stephen Chow appearing in a rare serious role.

This review is for "Final Justice"...a dopey film, indeed. When the story begins, an insane and totally over the top villain, Joe Palermo (Venantino Venantini) shoots a guy whose car broke down and then he shoots and kills a Sheriff...leaving his Deputy (Joe Don Baker) to give chase.

MVD issues a pleasing if rough presentation for Final Justice. Clearly utilizing a cheaper film stock at the source, grain runs and stays heavy. Other than rare moments, the encode is up for the challenge. The image maintains a pleasing consistency. Sharpness stays high, detail able to escape while producing texture in droves. Limitations on the soundtrack stem from the budget-restricted source. Voices wander in clarity, often filling hollow sets as the echo gives this away. As such, expect little in the way of dynamics, the treble thin, the bass non-existent.

Review by Will Sloan ★ In a premise that screams "We got a deal to make a movie in Malta," Joe Don Baker stars as a Texas sheriff who has to extradite an Italian mafioso to Malta. The mafioso escapes, and Joe Don chases him around the island, brandishing Texas Justice (i.e. wantonly breaking the law) throughout.
