The Hour of the Wolf or the Judgment of the Wolf is a term coined by Grand Maester Munkun in his book The Dance of the Dragons, A True Telling. It refers to the six days in 131 AC when Cregan Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North, governed in King's Landing, at the end of the Dance of the Dragons.

In a brief note, Bergman calls this the "Hour of the Wolf," and explains: "It is the hour when most people die, when sleep is deepest, when nightmares are more real. It is the hour when the sleepless are haunted by their deepest fear, when ghosts and demons are most powerful.
