The Last Days of Dolwyn (renamed Woman of Dolwyn for the American market) is a 1949 British drama film directed by Emlyn Williams and starring Edith Evans, Emlyn Williams, Richard Burton and Anthony James.
Mr. Davis, now a Londoner but a native Welshman who left Wales twenty years ago, has just returned, specifically to the Welsh village of Dolwyn, as the agent for Lord Lancashire whose company has been building a dam in the mountains above Dolwyn to supply water to Liverpool.
Woman of Dolwyn. An impoverished village becomes the site of a bitter power struggle between a callous developer and a stubborn dowager.
