   • Simon Magus was a great sorcerer and could have easily bewitched Paul. When Magus went to Rome they actually considered him a god and venerated him as such. Maybe Paul was working with him the whole time. Either way, their doctrines of salvation are the same and at odds with what Jesus taught.

   User Reviews. This is the sort of film a mature, healthy British film industry needs to produce if it is to be remembered for anything more than gangster movies and low brow comedies. I don't know anything about producer-writer Ben Hopkins, but he's clearly an outstanding talent.
