Synopsis. Jeff Strong, the artistic son of a railroad magnate, walks out of his own party when he begins to feel alienated from the revelers. While driving along the waterfront, Jerry sees the bedraggled figure of a woman rowing a boat and stops to offer her a ride back to town.
Kay Arnold ( Barbara Stanwyck) is a single-minded gold-digger who is out to ensnare socialite and would-be-artist Jerry Strong ( Ralph Graves ). While she's working as a model for him, she begins to open up to him, and the pair fall in love.
