Thief Fra Diavolo (Dennis King) plans to steal jewels and francs from Lord Rocberg (James Finlayson) and his wife, Lady Pamela (Thelma Todd). He enlists other thieves to help, including Stanlio (Stan Laurel) and Ollio (Oliver Hardy), who Diavolo caught impersonating him. Stanlio and Ollio kidnap Lord Rocberg in an attempt to find where the francs are hidden.
