Zavalaz is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2013. It features singer and guitarist Cedric Bixler-Zavala, guitarist Dan Elkan, bassist Juan Alderete and drummer Gregory Rogove.
Cedric Bixler-Zavala (born November 4, 1974) is an American musician. He is the lead singer and lyricist of the progressive rock band the Mars Volta since its inception in 2001.
The Redwood City native has also been a lead singer of various other bands including the post-hardcore group At the Drive-In, Antemasque, Anywhere, and Zavalaz, of which he was also a guitarist.
