Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott (9 July 1946 – 19 February 1980) was an Australian singer and songwriter. He was the second lead vocalist and lyricist of the hard rock band AC/DC from 1974 until his death in 1980.

Bon Scott, best remembered as the frontman of the legendary hard rock band AC/DC during the 1970s, was born in Forfar, Scotland on July 9th 1946. He moved to Melbourne, Australia in 1952, and eventually settled in Fremantle.
In September 1974, Bon Scott, a vocalist previously with the Valentines (1966–1970) and Fraternity (1971–1973), joined AC/DC after his former bandmate Vince Lovegrove introduced him to George during their stopover in Adelaide in August.
