Jack Sundrud was a founding member of Podipto, a band that opened for Poco in the 1970s. He later became a bassist and songwriter for Poco and other country-rock acts, such as Great Plains and Idlewheel.
The band dispanded following Young's death in April 2021 – the final lineup was Young alongside bassist and vocalist Jack Sundrud (1985–1987, 1990–1991, and since 2000), drummer Rick Lonow (since 2016), and guitarist and vocalist Tom Hampton (since 2020).

The band comprised Jack Sundrud (currently, as of 2015, of Poco), Russ Pahl, Denny Dadmun-Bixby, Michael Young, and Lex Browning. In their career, they recorded two studio albums and had four singles enter the Billboard country charts. Their highest charting single, "Faster Gun", peaked at No. 41.
Jack Sundrud is an American musician. Sundrud grew up in northern Minnesota, and, in 1969, was a member of a country-rock band called Podipto. He moved to Nashville in 1981 and worked as bassist/vocalist . In 1985 he succeeded Jeff Steele as bass player with legendary country-rock band Poco.
