Jason E. Chaffetz ( / ˈtʃeɪfɪts /; born March 26, 1967) is an American retired politician who served as the U.S. representative for Utah's 3rd congressional district from 2009 until his resignation in 2017. [1] He chaired the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2015 until 2017.
